The exhibition, presented at IKOB for only three days, features a series of works on canvas that are deliberately shown unsigned, untitled, and undated. Visitors are invited to choose one of the canvases and take it home free of charge.

Alternatively, visitors may choose to have a selected canvas signed by the artist and provided with a title and date, and then purchase it at the regular price. In this case, the work will be photographically documented, and the buyers will receive a certificate of authenticity. In addition, the relevant information will be included in a digital catalogue raisonné. Unsigned works, however, remain undocumented.

In terms of materiality and aesthetic appearance, signed and unsigned canvases do not differ from one another. The only difference in price lies in the signature and the certificate. Is this fair? Does a signature really cost that much money? This participatory project brings the question of artistic value creation—both in a systemic, monetary, and metaphorical sense—into focus and invites visitors to reflect on these relationships.
