Order for 100 €Dirk Dietrich Hennig, Jamais Vu, Jean Guillaume Ferrée, 2016
At IKOB, the German artist Dirk Dietrich Hennig presents JAMAIS-VU, the work of Jean Guillaume Ferrée (1926-1974), who has been unjustly forgotten. The rediscovery of this artist, who was associated with Fluxus and Nouveau Réalisme, would undoubtedly be an art-historical sensation if this artist had really existed. But in fact Ferrée is an invention of Hennig, who thought up and created both the work and the biography of Ferrée down to the smallest detail. The framed edition of a (fictitious) misprint can be purchased for 200 euros at this point.
Order for 200.00 €Jo Caimo, Moody, 2024
The artist Jo Caimo works at the interface between technology and art. MOODY® is a device that you can wear on your ear like a piece of jewelry. The devices measure arousal and interactions by registering the temperature of the ear. They allow us to explore and visualize connections and collective energies between people without using language. The device and a detailed documentation are available at IKOB for 100 EUR.
Veronika Eberhart: Garten sprengen
Publication for Veronika Eberhart's IKOB solo exhibition Garten sprengen (2023/24), published by Spector Books. Hanns Eisler was Arnold Schönberg's favourite pupil. He worked intensively with Bertolt Brecht and composed the GDR’s national anthem. Veronika Eberhart’s artistic study focuses on the years 1938 to 1948, which the composer spent together with his wife Lou(ise) in exile in Los Angeles. Shortly after their arrival, the two became the focus of FBI investigations. They were bugged and followed. In 1947, Eisler was finally called before the House of Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), and a year later he and his wife were deported from the USA. The book contains images from Eberhart’s latest film Garten sprengen (2022) and a series of new sculptural and photographic works that were on view in her exhibition at IKOB. With texts by Kevin Vennemann, Veronika Eberhart, Ian F. Svenonius, and Brenda Guesnet (DE/EN). Designed by Marie Artaker. 128 pages, approx. 50 color illustrations, thread-sewn brochure with wrap-around cover, 21 x 27 cm. Leipzig, April 2024, ISBN: 9783959058124

Henrike Naumann Westalgie
Merle Vorwald Dauergloss
Tom Bogaert Vendelzwaaier - Flaggenwerfer
The installation artist Henrike Naumann draws her inspiration from a wide variety of sources: Art, product design, fashion, graphic design and the medium of video. She uses them to compose installations that are both historical spaces and exhibition rooms. She observes the connections between architecture, furnishings and political ideology as well as the power structures on which they are based. On the occasion of her exhibition "Westalgie" at the IKOB, she invited two artist friends, Merle Vorwald and Tom Bogaert, to also realize an exhibition. The result of their collaboration is this bulletin with texts by the artists.
Designed by Janis Gildein.

Order for 40 € (+ shipping costs)Joséphine Kaeppelin - Extraits des procès-verbaux
The 36-part postcard series Extraits des procès-verbaux is one of the results of a commissioned work carried out by Joséphine Kaeppelin in 2021 at the performing arts institution "fabrique autonome des acteurs" in Bataville (FR). The service provider involved in the team of artistic-actionist research had taken it upon herself to observe the work and write about it. The recording was done in real time and mostly orally by dictation through a voice recorder. The result was an ensemble of short texts from which the printed sentences of the postcards were taken. Detached from their original context, each of the phrases generates its own liberated meaning, depending on the new situation in which they find themselves.
Joséphine Kaeppelin (1985, FR) is a visual artist - provider of intellectual and graphic services. She lives and works in Heerlen (NL).

The recorded conversations tell of hesitation, uncertainty, and misunderstanding on the one hand, and at the same time testify to humour and curiosity. These complexities contrast with the ideal, orderly world of the textbooks, which Morgante interrupts with her drawings. 68 pages, A4 format, 2022 link to the exhibition
