On the publication of the book Beatrice Minda Iran. Interrupted, published by Hatje Cantz, IKOB presents two extensive photo series by the german artist. The artist focuses on a photographic search for traces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. With sensitivity, she follows the trail of a tradition in a country with a history of several thousand years, a tradition that is in part massively disruptive. The artist is always interested in the relationship between private space, memory and history. In doing so, she places the relationship of people to the spaces that surround them in a socio-political context.
