Students of the "urban stage" seminar under the direction of Mischa Kuball of the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM), use IKOB – Museum of Contemporary Art as an experimental testing ground for transdisciplinary works and spaces for discussion. The artists grapple with urgent issues of our globalised world and reconcile these with the local particularities of IKOB and Eupen. The works on display draw from a wide variety of sources and media: they range from artificial intelligence, augmented reality, photographic documentation, haptic installation and live performance. The range of artworks is as divergent as the positions of the artists that form part of this group exhibition. Together, the artists propose that at a time when historical crises are putting everything to the test and it is easy to get lost in the confusion of digital swamps, the only thing left to do is to reflect on the body and its presence.
